SMS Messaging Terms & Consent

How Moss collects consent and sends transactional text messages on behalf of the studios it powers.

The program

Moss provides booking and member-management software to fitness and wellness studios. When you book with a studio that uses Moss, Moss sends transactional text messages on that studio's behalf, including booking confirmations, class and appointment reminders, waitlist updates, and account notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.

How we collect your consent (opt-in)

When you create an account on a studio's Moss-powered booking page, you may enter your mobile number and check an opt-in box to receive text messages. This is an explicit, affirmative opt-in — the box is unchecked by default, and consent is not a condition of any purchase. The opt-in checkbox reads:

“Text me booking confirmations & reminders. Consent isn't a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out. See our SMS Terms.”

Consent is recorded per person, per studio, with the channel, purpose, source, and timestamp stored in our system. We never share or sell mobile opt-in data, and consent collected for one studio is not used to message you on behalf of another.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your activity — for example, a confirmation when you book and a reminder before each class or appointment.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting out and help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@practicemoss.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Proof of consent

Opt-in consent is collected directly from the end user at account creation / checkout, as described above, and is not obtained from third-party lists or affiliates. A record of each opt-in (and any later opt-out) is retained, including the channel, purpose, source, and timestamp.
